The second chance

This is a forward i got in mail today and i liked it. So i thought of sharing it :)

It was 25th January 2008. Nisha was waiting for her husband Akshaye . It was their marriage anniversary. Things have got changed since their marriage. From the cute couple they turned into a fighting one.The quarrell everyday on every small thing. Nisha gave up thinking that Akshaye must have forgotten their anniversary and surely won’t be back home on time.

Akshaye too didn’t like how the things were going. She was so loving, so caring before marriage how everything got changed so radically. Yet they still love each other.

It was 4:00 p.m . The bell rang. Nisha was surprisingly happy.. Akshaye finally remembered… She ran to open the door. Indeed Akshaye was standing outside. He was smilling and had a bunch of flowers at his hand. The two then started reliving their beautiful days,making up for their quarrels.There were champagne,light music and it was raining a little outside..Overall the weather too seemed to get romantic along with them.

But the moment came to a slight pause.. The phone in the bedroom was ringing.. Quite aggitated Nisha went to pick up the phone. It was a man on the other side..”Hello madam I am calling from the police station.Is it Mr Akshaye Malhotra’s number???”

“Yeah ,it is”

There was an accident and a Man. died. We got your number from the man’s purse.We need you to come here and identify the body..”

Nisha’s heart sank. “Whhhhaaat?? B-but my husband is here with me?”

“Sorry madam the accident took place at 3:00 p.m when the man was trying to board a bus”.

Nisha was about to lose her senses. How could this happen? She knew this type of things. She had heard about this. The soul of the person comes to meet you before it parts..She ran to the drawing room.. Akshaye was not there… It is true? Has something that bad really happened to Akshaye??? Has he left her forever??Oh God…had she been given another chance …she would have mended all her faults… She rolled down on the floor awestruck.

Suddenly there was noise from the bathroom.. Akshaye came out …” I forgot to tell u dear  my purse was stolen while I was returning home…”

Life might not give u a second chance…..So never waste a moment when u can make up for your deeds. J

Guerlain Terracotta Kohl Loose powder

I am not a person who use high end cosmetics. Guerlain terracotta kohl loose powder is an exceptional case among my collection. It is claimed to be used by many famous hollywood actresses such as Anjelina Jolie (Wink).


     It is a bit pricey, around 35 $ per bottle. But i got it in a sales, around 17 $  from ebay, including shipping   ie: around 770 INR.

Bottle sure do looks cute and attractive. Any one have to agree :)

There are a no: of colours available , i heard,
01 Noir, 02 Brun, and 03 Bleu and some limited editions such as Kaki (limited edition),Aqua Blue (limited edition)Oriental Bronze (limited edition).


Well, i opted for black, since i am trying a new product, i dint want to take risk. Black is - 01 Noir


What company says : "An exceptionally elegant eye makeup innovation, this ultra fine, loose powder, with a touch of iridescence, can be applied as an eyeliner using the wand applicator or applied as an eyeshadow using the brush".




 When i first saw bottle i became very happy, such a beautiful bottle. But on opening i got scary seeing the wand.I had been afraid wand might poke in to my eye or some thing.

But after 2-3 days it became very easy for me to slide the wand in eyes . Just hold it on the inner  edge of the waterline, close your eye, and drag the wand to the outer edge.After that you can do finishing touches, if you want.


At first some loose powder tended to fall on face.But it was easily fixed with a tissue paper.

As you can see from swatch, there minute shimmers in it, which i absolutely love!!


Pros


1) One bottle will last more than one year. I am using a bottle daily for more than 6 months , still half of the bottle remains.
2) No irritation or infection or any other eye problem.
3) It is perfect for smokey look.
4) Very pigmented, will give you dark, rich look.
5)  It does not contain lead unlike other companies kohl and kajal.
6) It will last long around 8 hours
7) Cute packaging.
8) Loves the little shimmers in it.


Cons


1) Ridiculously priced.
2) It will need little practice for novice to learn to apply it correctly.


I haven't still applied it as eye shadow, but i am sure as shadow also it will rock.


Will buy it again?..No, as lot of comparatively cheaper options are available.

Weekend

I had been thinking what to do with the precious weekend, for Saturdays are also working day for us. Later i dropped all the plans since i have assignments to write...Yaa..You heard it right.. .I have assignments to write (sigh)..Being full time working and part time studying, this happens , often.

But to waste a perfect week end,nah, i cant digest that,but there is no time for me to waste also, since the deadline for submitting my assignments is on this week.

So i decided to balance both by making a time saving rich sinful dish  for lunch..that what to make?..again i got confused, there are 3 conditions to satisfy

a) It should be tasty enough to compensate the weekend
b)It should not consume time
c)Preferably non-veg, coz my hubby likes it

Then i thought about some ready made meat balls i picked out last week during shopping.Amul instant cream also there.Hurray!!.. Perfect ingredient for a chicken kofta.The hardest part of chicken kofta is frying the balls in correct heat.By using meat balls i can over come that difficulty, gravy making makes little time only.

So i made a gravy of sauted onions + tomato puree + little ketch up + water soaked almonds + cashewnuts. For masala i used coriander powder +chillipowder + little garam masala.Finally my ever fav amul cream :D and kasur methi.

For spicyness i marinaded chicken balls with coriander chilli , curd and salt.

Believe it or not, it tasted awsome. Even the last drop of gravy is not wasted and it had been sinfully rich to compensate the wasted week end also . :)..pardon me for my poor photographic skills.

Then in TV rerun  of " shanghai knights" was been there.Well Owen Wilson also was there ;-)..So enough to compensate assignment writing on week end :D

Introduction

I am a gemini girl, sorry woman.  Well , to tell accurately, a women based on age and girl based on appearance and based on mind set often behaves as a lass or woman.

I spent my childhood in a village, by preteen was shifted in to a town  and got employed in metro. So u might find influence of all these places in me.

From old country house with big courtyard  to play and lot of trees to climb, presently i am satisfied with a 2BHK apartment which is ruled by a 'hitler' caretaker and always sleeping watchman :). 

Well, i have to tell about the most important person of my life, my better half  :)..who in turn is also my Project Manager in office (rolling eyes)....Ohh...Yaa..what u guessed is right.It had been a love marriage and more over an interstate marriage.

Well there is my ever loving parents, my cutie pie sister, ever supporting friends etc etc to name..but  that all later.
