Product:

It is peach in color and is light creamy in consistency. But it easily blends to skin. A little product is enough since is spreads easily. And well it is not a tinted moisturizer. Don’t get fooled by color.

It have a strong  fruity smell .

In my experience:

Pros:

As I told before texture is light creamy and it gets easily blend and absorbed to skin. It wont make skin oily after wards. So can be used in day time also. Additionally there is sunscreen which makes it appropriate for daywear.

It never irritated my skin and didn’t caused any break out.

I can’t tell about its 12 hour hydration claim but it sure do gives 6-8 hr hydration.

Like any good moisturizer it gives soft healthy skin, but about glow I am yet to find out.

3-4 drops is enough for whole face and it’ll last long.So good enough for price.

Available in almost all super markets.

Maybe as introductory offer I don’t know, but I got Lakme fruit blast face wash free with it. So it is an additional plus.

Cons:

Smell. It have a strong fruity smell. People who love fruity smell might like it. But for me it reminded some tonic.

Even though it is written with sunscreens, there is no mention of SPF.

Not travel friendly packaging.

        Overall, it is a very good moisturizer.

          Will buy it again?..Maybe

Some random thoughts

I am sure at some point of life you would have missed some some people.

When my hubby first told me he will be away for one month, to be frank what i thought is well ,some ways it is good only. I can have my own time for a change.

But when the time came , i realised i miss him lot. And about time..hell with it. What happened is before cutting vegetables especially onion i don't have to worry. Now that also i have to do.Drying clothes, well that also i only have to do always. Before i don't have to worry about paying bills at correct time, only had to think about how increase them  ;-)..Now came to know even for paying electricity bill or getting new gas cylinder refilled,you have to give bribe . Before for that i use to advise him” Being good citizen we must not make a practice of giving bribe”..Well i came to know without giving bribe nothing happens.:D.Same way in every thing.He use to help me in washing dishes in turns, well that also i have to do everyday. Being continents apart i even miss the gossiping at night :(

i realise in many matters however irritating he can be  , that much difficult it is to live without him .

The most irritating habit of him is that watching tv and acting like he is hearing whatever i am telling, when he is not. Well nowadays i ‘m even missing it.

Well is it my only problem or every one is that much dependent?

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Refreshing face toner

Every one knows importance of toner in skin care regime. Toner helps in reducing oil secretion and thus making face looks fresher.When you wipe face with cotton pad dipped with toner, it will removes all residues left after cleansing. Also it will help to tighten pores and balance pH of skin.
Most of the toner I used till now had alcohol content in it. Himalaya face toner has been a welcoming change from it.

Packaging is travel friendly. It consists of bottle with cap. Under the cap there is also a screw cap lid, which consists of a aperture/hole in it. While travelling contents won’t spill out.

As you can see it is a clear liquid .
Directions for use:  After using cleansing mil , pour few drops gentle refreshing toner on a cotton pad and wipe thoroughly over your face and neck.

What company claims :


Refreshes and tones the skin. Reduces oil secretion and keeps the skin oil-free.
Gentle Refreshing Toner purifies and refreshes your skin. This alcohol-free toner removes the impurities and makes pores appear small. Lemon and Jasmine cleanse and refresh your skin, while Sensitive plant controls excess oil secretion. Sweet marjoram nourishes the skin to keep it radiant and healthy.


It is not exactly 100 % herbal, all herbal products will contain atleast preservatives and fragrance.
Anyway in bottle it  is written as Ayurvedic proprietary medicine , hypoallergenic, no harmful chemicals, no animal testing suitable for all skin types


My Experience:
Pros:
It has a very refreshing smell, yet very mild smell.
Alcohol free and hence doesn’t dry out skin.
Didn’t break me out.
Quite inexpensive.


 Cons:
Pore minimization is not significant enough. But is the case with almost all toners.


Will buy it again?..May be.

Gel eye liner from buyincoins

Last month one day i had been in one of my terrible mood swings and i know only one way to regain my mood- buying some thing  .So i logged into buyincoins. Before i never bought from buyincoins. So i had been little sceptic and didnot want to buy some thing expensive. 

Finally i ordered

  Water proof eyeliner gel with brush and some combs..

Still i don't know how i dared to order eyeliner gel without a brand name. Usually i am careful about the  products using in eye. May be the excellent reviews by previous customers prompted me. Around 22 reviews - all totally positive. But main thing what attracted me is the angled eyeliner brush which comes along with this eyeliner.

Cost for the gel eyeliner with brush was dirt cheap  - 2.5 $..Around 110 INR. Also shipping is free in buyincoins.Whatever the product you order , whatever the cost is , shipping to India is free. Only drawback is shipping will take time. 

Shipping took around 2 -3 weeks time. There had been no tracking number or contact address. But they provides status such as processing and dispatched and gives an invoice. A photo of the courier top with our address is also provided after dispatching.

After 2-3 weeks i received a Singapore post(not courier) with no sender's name. I guessed my friends there might have send something.

When i opened the parcel it is those things from buyincoins, securely wrapped individually with layers of bubble sheets, thermocol etc. Remember in most of their products no retail box will be there. So if you are a brand freak dont go there.

Coming to the eyeliner, It contains around 3g and comes in a small tiny frosted glass jar which prevents drying up of liner. The liner is soft , pigmented and have a creamy texture. It glides very smoothly on eyes.Actually i waited 2 weeks to write this review cos i want to make sure this product have no side effects, since there is no name , box nothing. I am using it continuously for last 2 weeks and now i can assure you really it have no side effects.It is smudge free and and last  till you cleanse away.

a)It is rich pigmented, true matte black color.

b) Creamy in texture and glides smoothly on eyes.

c) Till now no side effects or irritation in my eyes.(But i havn't used it in water line)

d) Dirt cheap.

e)Will last whole day( in fact till you cleanse it away).

f) Won't smudge.

g) Water proof   (For me it is con  :( )

Cons:

As water proof very difficult to remove. Have to use oil based remover.

Coming to brush:

It is long angled brush which also have a small polythene cap on top to protect bristles. Perfect for eye lining, even a beginner can draw precise lines using it. The bristles are thin  and  i am able to draw thin or thick line as per my requirement using it, but i don't think it will last long.

This is not my eye, one i  nicked from buyincoins site, but it shows off real color you can get.

Overall verdict : Excellent site and product

  Will i repurchase?  : Will buy again and again till i get fed up. :p

Oriflame- Feet up - Moisturising Foot Cream

One month back  i looked at my feet and i shuddered. Even though no visible cracks there, it had been totally dried up  and had been in a worse condition.

I asked Pooja of My Space to  get me a foot cream . As there had been a sale at that time i got it for around 149 /-INR where as actual price is 349/-INR

Avocado and aloevera is well known for its moisturizing properties. Avocado oil supposed to retain hydration.

What company claims?
Soften, soothe and improve the condition of your feet overnight with softening Avocado Oil and soothing Aloe Vera. Massage into feet at night and wake up the next morning to find them improved

What i experienced?

It really do moisturizes and conditions thee rough skin of  feet .

On first application itself change is visible. Smooth , soft moist feet are obtained on regular application.


It have a mild minty smell, nothing over powering but a pleasant smell.Cream spreads very easily and require a small quantity only. From last one month i am using it regularly. Still half tube remains.Only 2-3 minutes massaging is enough for cream to get completely absorbed by skin and  do not leave back any oily coating  So not only at night even day times you can use whenever required.

The package as you see above is a long tube and is  travel friendly.

Pros:
a) Highly moisturizing
b) Mildly scented
c) Small quantity is enough
d) Quickly absorbed to skin
e) Do makes feet smooth and soft


Cons: 
a) Not available in local shops, have to buy from Oriflame agent itself.
b) Original price is little pricey.


I will buy again?... Definitely.

BATH & BODY WORKS LIPLICIOUS CHERRY VANILLA LIP GLOSS

It is a  sheer lip gloss almost clear with little pink-peach colour, (i guess can call frosted pink : -p ) ..

I got my first tube as a gift from my friend in US. This one i bought online. Yaa..I repurchased it. :-).

 Price on bath and body works site is 7 $ and with an offer Buy 2 get get 1 free.

 I bought it from a ebay store named "Overstockmadness*123"for 4 $ and shipping costed 3 $.Ineffect 7 $.

I wish i have taken photo before i opened the courier t. It had been neatly bubble wrapped with smiley face sticker on it. Packing looked adorable. The best part comes next - there had been a surprise gift with it - a strawberry scented lip conditioner.

Well i know in photo it looks really bad, but it is because i use to keep it roughly in my office  bag and apply it every 4-5 hours.So i am the sole culprit.

 About lipgloss- It tastes and smells yummy!! Well i know, it is not the first thing to tell about a lip gloss, but thinking about this one, that is the first thing coming to mind.

Colour is almost clear so that it just illuminates lips with slight colour.

 Glitters is just correct, not too much not too less (Well in my opinion)


Staying power is comparitively good. You can see even after washing with water, little little glitter remains.(But mostly i will taste it from my lips frequently so that nothing will remain  :D. I cant control myself :)
 

 

Ingredients list can't be read clearly from these photos .But it contains Jojoba seed oil and Vitamin-E which gives it high moisturizing power.

It is also not tested on animals.

It is very smooth to apply and will glide along and not sticky compared to many other lip glosses.

Pros:

1. It is very moisturizing, you can even apply without applying lip balm under.
2. Will stay on for 5-6 hours. Even after washing little illumination will be there.
3. Nice daily wear color, not over powering
4. Last but not least smells and tastes delicious!!

Cons:

1. Not available in India.

 Will buy again? : Since have used 2 tubes, would like to try another  bath and body works flavor!!


 PS: The lip conditioner got as free gift have sunscreen, vitamin E and aloevera and it really do condition my lips compared to all other lip balms i have used . It have nice smell also.Only negative thing about it is i prefer tinted lipbalms more. But   I am planning to buy it after this tube finishes due to its moisturizing power.

I had been searching for Aloeveral Gel for long time. It is funny here you can get Aloevera plant abundantly, but can't get Aloevera gel. Finally i got  Aloevera gel from Nautre's essence, who manufactures Coloressence products also.

 

I t comes in a small plastic  pot which looks cute .

Gel have a very  pretty green colour .  But from what i heard aloevera gel is normally colourless, so i guess colour imparted by artificial coloring.

 Smells very nice and refreshing. I often apply on hands just to smell it.


What company claims?

Ingrediants: 

 Now here i have doubt. Key ingredients given back of the carton is Aloevera extracts, Pepper mint oil and mineralised water .But you can see in second pic, in front of carton it is given as Aloevera and tea tree oil. From what i understood, pepper mint oil and tea tree oil are different. :-/


I use this gel in morning as a substitute of moisturizer. It gives an instant cool feeling and makes me refreshed.It do makes skin smooth and supple even if temporarily.When applied, within minutes it will be absorbed to skin , so need to be afraid of oily look.

Price : 55.00 INR for 100 gm.


Pros:

1. Smells very nice.
2. Looks very pretty.
3. Gives an instant cool, refreshing sensation.
4. Moisturises skin and make it smooth and supple.
5. In expensive.
6. Will get dried fast on skin and wont give you oily look.

Cons : 

1. Comes in a pot, so you have to put fingers in pot every time you use.
2. Confused about ingredients.

Will buy again?..Yes..Till i find a good alternative.

Ear ring box

Today i considered several products to write. I even thought of posting my ever favorite reliable recipe of "Ginger - Capsicum Fried Rice".Then my eyes fell on the cute red box sitting in corner of my dressing table.My ear ring box!!..Then i thought why can't write about it. This  is one of the most useful accessories i have. I am sure all of you gorgeous ladies will be having loads of ear rings.So it will be helpful to you people also :).

I always like browsing through ebay pages , a kinda easy  virtual window shopping ;-)

I browsed through a ebay store named "Hyderabad Treasures". Some really nice and eye catching jewelery items had been there. But what  i most liked is  this - Ear ring box.

Price also had been reasonable 299/-INR (Around 6.5 $) with free shipping.

 All over, the transaction had been quite pleasant.Seller couriered it via DTDC courier and tracking details are also provided. At that time I shifted my apartment and little confusion arose . But seller Hadia promptly replied to my questions and helped me to solve it.Shipping  had been very fast i think, but due to above said confusions i received courier in my hands after one week,still also it is quite fast i think.

It really do save space and prevents loss of stones and other damages to ear rings.While traveling it is super handy :).

Before,  i used to store my all my ear rings together, which ended in losing stones and difficulty in locating the pairs. Then i started putting them in small small ear ring boxes, which became very difficult while traveling.We ladies will want to take all the earrings while going somewhere and no: of those little boxes will be numerous :-p.

The box is covered with red velvet cloth and it is looks very cute.According to sellers specification it is made of fibre and covered with velvet. Length is 9" and width and height is 3" respectively.

In this box at a time u can store around 16 pairs of earrings.

Fabindia

Fabindia is one among my favorite stores. Almost everything from there have its own quality which  other brands can't imitate.


By March end l I took resolution , whatever happen i wont buy any dress this month!!...yaa..Really strong resolution :-p


This weekend i went to a mall here and we entered Reliance trends,as my hubby wanted some cheap t-shirts to wear in home.There i saw some really cute tops, still sticked to me resolution. (Yaa..Thatz me!!) :-D


On seeing Fabindia i remembered my face pack is about to finish and i wanted to try the famous "Fabindia coral glow face pack".So i went inside to buy that.


Well finally i came out with these

Well what to tell , the final damage is 3056 /- INR and i din't got the face pack i went for. Its out of stock. 




I think this happens with we all gals...what u say?

Nyx - Round Lipstick Tea Rose

Usually i wont get much time for blogging as i would like.But telling you, it feels really nice when you returns back, unexpectedly see some comment there.:)

Its long since i'm hearing about Nyx. I   desperately wanted to try that well heard , cheap but good quality brand which is not available in India . Then i remembered about loyal ebay and ordered there.

I bought from seller "angelstemptation"  .  Lipstick costed me 1.99 $, where are shipping cpsted 2.5 $..yaa..shipping costed more than product :p..Whatever, still also it came only 192 INR..So i thought the deal is not bad.

I ordered the shade "Tea Rose" seeing swatches in other review sites . 

Product had been nicely bubble wrapped and reached me in perfect condition. :)

At first  look, the bottle looked cute.

But the tubes are very light and will break on dropping.At bottom you can see the color of lipstick, so that you don have to open the lippie for knowing colour.  It is not lipstick, but piece of soft plastic that's molded into the clear bottom.

 

Product color also had been very good up to my satisfaction .It is a light pink color in flash  and without flash a pink with mauve .

It is quite creamy in consistency. But between i had to go to Chennai , and in Chennai heat it began to rundown inside the tube. :(

Swatch

Color is quite nice, but unfortunately, it makes my face more paler :(..So what i do is apply Nivea Pomegranate lip balm under and apply NYX tea Rose on top :) .


Pros :
1) Quite creamy in consistency. Will glide over smoothly.
2) Affordable.Not at all expensive with good quality.
3) Very nice pink, not over powering.
4) Moisturising


Cons:
1) Tends to make lines on lips more visible.
2) Package too brittle
3)Due to smooth consistency, tends to wear off after 3-4 hours.
4)Not available in India,have to buy online.

The second chance

This is a forward i got in mail today and i liked it. So i thought of sharing it :)

It was 25th January 2008. Nisha was waiting for her husband Akshaye . It was their marriage anniversary. Things have got changed since their marriage. From the cute couple they turned into a fighting one.The quarrell everyday on every small thing. Nisha gave up thinking that Akshaye must have forgotten their anniversary and surely won’t be back home on time.

Akshaye too didn’t like how the things were going. She was so loving, so caring before marriage how everything got changed so radically. Yet they still love each other.

It was 4:00 p.m . The bell rang. Nisha was surprisingly happy.. Akshaye finally remembered… She ran to open the door. Indeed Akshaye was standing outside. He was smilling and had a bunch of flowers at his hand. The two then started reliving their beautiful days,making up for their quarrels.There were champagne,light music and it was raining a little outside..Overall the weather too seemed to get romantic along with them.

But the moment came to a slight pause.. The phone in the bedroom was ringing.. Quite aggitated Nisha went to pick up the phone. It was a man on the other side..”Hello madam I am calling from the police station.Is it Mr Akshaye Malhotra’s number???”

Nisha’s heart sank. “Whhhhaaat?? B-but my husband is here with me?”

Nisha was about to lose her senses. How could this happen? She knew this type of things. She had heard about this. The soul of the person comes to meet you before it parts..She ran to the drawing room.. Akshaye was not there… It is true? Has something that bad really happened to Akshaye??? Has he left her forever??Oh God…had she been given another chance …she would have mended all her faults… She rolled down on the floor awestruck.

Suddenly there was noise from the bathroom.. Akshaye came out …” I forgot to tell u dear  my purse was stolen while I was returning home…”

Life might not give u a second chance…..So never waste a moment when u can make up for your deeds. J

Guerlain Terracotta Kohl Loose powder

I am not a person who use high end cosmetics. Guerlain terracotta kohl loose powder is an exceptional case among my collection. It is claimed to be used by many famous hollywood actresses such as Anjelina Jolie (Wink).


     It is a bit pricey, around 35 $ per bottle. But i got it in a sales, around 17 $  from ebay, including shipping   ie: around 770 INR.

Bottle sure do looks cute and attractive. Any one have to agree :)

There are a no: of colours available , i heard,
01 Noir, 02 Brun, and 03 Bleu and some limited editions such as Kaki (limited edition),Aqua Blue (limited edition)Oriental Bronze (limited edition).


Well, i opted for black, since i am trying a new product, i dint want to take risk. Black is - 01 Noir


What company says : "An exceptionally elegant eye makeup innovation, this ultra fine, loose powder, with a touch of iridescence, can be applied as an eyeliner using the wand applicator or applied as an eyeshadow using the brush".




 When i first saw bottle i became very happy, such a beautiful bottle. But on opening i got scary seeing the wand.I had been afraid wand might poke in to my eye or some thing.

But after 2-3 days it became very easy for me to slide the wand in eyes . Just hold it on the inner  edge of the waterline, close your eye, and drag the wand to the outer edge.After that you can do finishing touches, if you want.


At first some loose powder tended to fall on face.But it was easily fixed with a tissue paper.

As you can see from swatch, there minute shimmers in it, which i absolutely love!!


Pros


1) One bottle will last more than one year. I am using a bottle daily for more than 6 months , still half of the bottle remains.
2) No irritation or infection or any other eye problem.
3) It is perfect for smokey look.
4) Very pigmented, will give you dark, rich look.
5)  It does not contain lead unlike other companies kohl and kajal.
6) It will last long around 8 hours
7) Cute packaging.
8) Loves the little shimmers in it.


Cons


1) Ridiculously priced.
2) It will need little practice for novice to learn to apply it correctly.


I haven't still applied it as eye shadow, but i am sure as shadow also it will rock.


Will buy it again?..No, as lot of comparatively cheaper options are available.
